Dear New Mexico Amateur Quarter Horse Members,
Please make note
that NMAQHA annual dues have increased to $25.00 for an
individual membership. Be looking in the mail in February,
here on the Amateur page as well as the Forms page for an
updated membership form coming soon.
The show season is
approaching quickly and what a better way to kick things off
than with a SHAGGY SHOW!! The NMAQHA along with the NMQHYA
is hosting it's first annual all breed Shaggy Show at the
Bernalillo County Sheriff's Posse arena on Saturday, March 3rd
starting at 9am. Random prizes as well as high point and
circuit awards will be handed out.
A "Rummage" sale will be
going on as well. So we encourage you to do some early
spring cleaning in your barns, trailers, tack rooms and
attics for the tack, show clothes, riding apparel, horse
apparel, grooming supplies, etc. that you or your horse
either out grew or that you no longer use.
In hopes to make this show
a huge success to its participants, we hope you can donate
some of your time to assist with office help, arena help,
concessions, prizes and to assist the exhibitors at the
show. Our goal is to assist ALL participants, and to make
this show a wonderful experience for those just begining
their show career to those seasoned riders. Amateurs as well
as Youth will be on hand at the show to give pointers to
exhibitors throughout the event.

NMAQHA gives year end awards in addition to the year end
awards given by the NMQHA. Memberships in AQHA, NMQHA and
NMAQHA must be paid before points count. A minimum $30 SEC
sponsorship is REQUIRED. Please review the sponsorship form
on the bottom of this page as we are offering several
incentives to help you attract sponsorships. Please get your
sponsorship forms to Tonia Pena as soon as possible so your
sponsor will get proper recognition at SEC! Forms must be
turned in to Tonia before the end of SEC to fulfill your
requirement.
