2010 NMQHA Show Schedule

Pre-entry for all NMQHA shows is encouraged!!!
2010 - post-entries will be assessed an additional $25 fee/horse

EXCEL ASSOCIATES OF COLORADO WILL BE THE 2010 SHOW SECRETARY SERVICE.
All shows will be held at Expo NM in Albuquerque, NM, unless otherwise noted.

Early Enchantment Circuit (EEC)
April 2,3, and 4, 2010

Entry deadline date is March 19, 2010

  • Friday is a one-day show, Saturday and Sunday are two-day split/combined shows.  Total of 3 shows.
  • Judges: April 2: Sharon Wellmann, April 3 and 4: Nancy Sue Ryan and Don Topliff
  • Start time for all shows is 8 AM.
  • Saturday’s Over-Fence Warm-Up classes begin at 7 AM and end at 7:50 AM with judged classes beginning at 8 AM.

Land of Enchantment Circuit (LOEC)
April 22, 23, 24, and 25, 2010

Entry deadline date is April 8, 2010

  • Two sets of split/combined shows.  Total of 4 shows.
  • Judges: April 22 and 23: Mike Perkins and Leonard Berryhill, April 24 and 25: Marilyn Randall and Lisa Moden
  • Start time for all shows is 8 AM
  • Thursday and Saturday’s Over-Fence Warm-Up classes begin at 7 AM and end at 7:50 AM with judged classes beginning at 8 AM.
  • On Saturday, April 24, NMRHA will host a NRHA event in the Dairy Barn.  For entries and details, go to www.nmrha.org.

Summer Enchantment Circuit (SEC)

  • Start time for all shows is 8 AM.

Host Hotel Information:  Sandia Courtyard AND Hilton Garden Inn are teaming up to be the Host Hotels for NMQHA shows.  Sandia Courtyard is off of I-40 and Eubank (behind Owl Cafe) and Hilton Garden Inn is off of I-40 and Louisiana Blvd.

a.  Sandia room rates:  $50 - $60 plus tax
b.  Hilton Garden Inn Uptown room rates:  $90 plus tax  (Website)

2010 EXPO NM Show Rules as follows:

1) Pre-entries without stall reservations must contact AKAL Security for stalls (505-692-9542). NMQHA stall reservations begin the night before the first show-day and end the night before the last show day. If you stay before or after the show Expo NM collects $25/stall/night- cash or check only, NO CREDIT CARDS.

2) Shavings can be purchased at the show or bring your own. Shavings and feed are available at each show but cannot be paid for on a show tab.

3) EXPO NM enforces parking and will tow vehicles left in "NO PARKING" zones or spaces. Blocking barn alleys can result in towing at owners expense. NO VEHICLES CAN BE PARKED UNDER THE ROOF OF THE DAIRY BARN

4) RV spaces are available through AKAL Security. Limited spaces (6) are available at the NW end of the grounds or many more at the SW end. Fees are paid directly to AKAL and may not be included in show bill. NO WATER OR ELECTRICAL HOOK-UPS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE BARNS. Trailers with RV quarters MAY NOT connect to any faucets or electrical outlets in the barn areas. Trailers parked by stalls must NOT block corners or alleys.

5) Haul-ins should park in the trailer parking area on the NW corner of the grounds, west of the Dairy Barn or along the fence by the Cowboy Arena. Do NOT Park by "NO PARKING" signs, DO NOT BLOCK ACCESS TO BARNS, ALLEYS OR WARM-UP PENS. EXPO NM will tow offending vehicles at the owners' expense. When unloading please be careful NOT to BLOCK access alleys along any barns for more than 15 minutes.

6) Arenas will not be open for riding until after 5 PM the day before the first show-day. Warm-up pens are always open. Please ride only in the arena and event-assigned warm up pen when there are other shows on the grounds.

7) NO DOGS ALLOWED IN THE ARENAS. Dogs are allowed on the grounds on leashes or confined- but owners are held responsible for their behavior at all times. Show Management reserves the right to have dogs removed from any areas they present a hazard to horses or riders. Owners are asked to clean up after their dogs.

8) Show office will open at noon the day before the first show-day. For EEC and LOEC the office will be in the SW corner of the Horse Arena. For SEC, the office is in the Dairy Barn, South end.

9) Show Manager for all shows Julie Wilson -Cell (505-927-2032). Julie Wilson is also the Stall Manager- pre-entries call 505-351-4500 for stalls. At the show use the cell phone number.

10) Everyone is reminded to LOCK UP purses, electronics and other valuables OUT OF SIGHT. EXPO NM and NMQHA regret losses but cannot be responsible. Lock tack rooms and trailers when unattended. AKAL Security monitors the areas at all times and we encourage you to report any suspicious activity to the show manager or AKAL officer on-site.
